Our Projects

Continuing Ballarat’s Legacy of Gold

Located just three kilometres south of the Ballarat city centre, Victory Minerals' Ballarat Gold Mine is proud to be part of one of Australia’s most renowned and historic goldfields. Mining has been a feature of Ballarat since the gold rush of the 1850s, and today, we continue that tradition with a strong focus on responsible mining, sustainability, and community connection.

About the Ballarat Gold Mine

Victory Minerals operates a high-grade underground gold mine at Mount Clear, drawing on over 170 years of local mining heritage. While the techniques and technologies have evolved significantly, our link to Ballarat’s pioneering spirit remains as strong as ever.

Mining activities at Ballarat initially flourished during the 19th century, making the region one of the richest alluvial goldfields in the world. Although mining slowed through the 20th century, modern underground mining methods have revived Ballarat’s gold industry — and Victory Minerals is proud to be leading its next chapter.

Today, we operate under a strict regulatory framework, working closely with Earth Resources Regulation (ERR), EPA Victoria, and the City of Ballarat Council. Our operations are guided by strict licence conditions designed to ensure environmental protection, safety, and responsible resource management. .

Geology Models

Gold mineralization at Ballarat East is hosted within a series of tightly folded Ordovician turbidities, and gold distribution is controlled by a series of west dipping thrust faults, where thrust faults intersect the Eastern limbs of folds economic gold concentrations are formed.

Looking Ahead

Victory Minerals is committed to building a strong future for Ballarat Gold Mine. Our current projects include:

  • Ongoing resource definition drilling to identify new mining areas and extend mine life

  • Development of future tailings storage solutions to support long-term sustainable operations

We look forward to sharing more about our geological achievements and future projects as we continue to invest in Ballarat’s proud mining tradition.
