The original Ballarat East Goldfield, now home to Victory Minerals, was heavily mined during the 19th century.

In the 20th century, mining declined due to the depletion of accessible gold, but advancements in underground mining revived Ballarat’s industry.

Victory Minerals took ownership of Ballarat Gold Mine (BGM), focusing on high-grade underground gold extraction using modern, sustainable mining techniques.

History Of The Mine

At the heart of our operations lies a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and community development.

We actively restore mined land, create employment opportunities for locals, and support charitable initiatives that enhance the well-being of our community.

Sustainability & Community Initiatives

Gold mineralization at Ballarat East is hosted within a series of tightly folded Ordovician turbidities.
